Troubles with floating directions and speed - engine or sail?
Hey, our (relatively big) raft has 1 engine and 1 sail so far, both being at the ground floor at the "back" of the raft. We are having troubles with sailing towards the desired destinations, especially with the slow speeds we are sailing - sometimes the raft moves in the opposite direction despite having the sail pointed towards the correct direction.

We are thinking of adding a second sail or a second engine or moving the sail towards the upper floor. Any suggestions what the most effective improvements are?

Thank you

Sail does not help you sail against the wind. When turned to direction that is against the wind it will only slow down raft's movement into windward direction, not stop it or reverse it.
Adding more sails has no effect nor does it's placement matter (you can even have it inside structure AFAIK).

In order to move against the wind, you need engines (1 per 100 foundations, only foundations count) or paddles. If you use paddles, having sail turned in same direction helps even if that direction is against the wind as it slows raft's movement into opposite direction.

If you're using sail, install streamer to see the direction of the wind. Wind direction never changes in the game and it will always blow in same direction.
