Flags, Painting and the new paint UI?

How do you paint flags? I know you can as its in the wiki, but for the life of me I cant figure out how to do it. For example the skull flag, I know you can paint the skull (wish it was the opposite but oh well) but no matter where I point the whole flag turns the new color.

If you click on the button labeled "SECONDARY" in the top right of the paint color selection menu, you can enable the secondary color wheel. In your skull flag example, the primary color wheel would color the skull insignia, while the secondary color wheel would dictate the color of the flag itself.

If you set your paint brush to primary color you can only do 1 color for the flag. Go stand near the flag where your paint brush can point at the flag cloth itself. If you want different pattern (not sure if there are hidden pattern like the sail), you need to enable secondary color.

For example, if you want the classic pirate flag, get skull flag and set prime to black, secondary white (or the otherway around I forgot), eitherway just test it out. It's not hard, not bug, not game breaking.
