WIll net work on bears?

OK not talking about the cave bear that's guarding the cave but the average bear running around Balboa island will the net work on them to hold them until I can kill them or will that not working trying to devise a plan of attacking the rest of this island!

Once you learn you can back pedal and kill bears with melee without getting hit, they become very easy to kill.

yeah I been using Arrows or better yet I have found they are stupid around cliff edges so can just hide out on a lower ledge and they get stuck and run in place above me letter me jab them with my spear.

I prefer to run close to him before he is charging from long distance and this way he do not charge.
I also circle him from time to time and hit him from behind depend where i take the fight and i use bow and arrows on close combat to save some iron but the easiest and fastest way is definitely to use iron spear as this link shows you which i prefer.

I never waste any armour on him in case he hit me but healing salve is nice to have in case bad luck pop up in the middle of a stormy dark night.


Just give it a try mate and do it with iron spear first and this way you know what to do before you use your bow and arrows in close combat the same way as with the iron spear.

Play private and save the game before you attacking him and if he hit you one or twice then you run away to a safe spot and quit the game and load it up again and give it a new try to the stages you know how to take him easy out but stay away from the mama bear.

The secret is to keep max distance away from him in close combat and that means when you have that distance and he attacking you then you only need to go one or two stepp backwards to avoid his attack when you doing front attack.
If you are too close to him when he attacking you and if you are little to slow then he may hit you because you was to close to him and react little to late, but one or two hit is not any issue even without any armour.

Circle him is very easy because now he need to turn and then hit you but you may try front attack first as this video shows you but remember to avoid his charge from long distance where that is little harder to avoid.

Never thought that bear is a lovely pet you can tame with net. I love taming them with spear and arrows or gun mod.
