only sail to trigger that rare or engine works?
becuse if only sail have % to trigger (and if only encounterable before receiver) then id best start new world
I think i've visited least 50+ unique unmarked last week and found 3 tiki (same one) and 7 paintings (same one i own already) and still can't find shipwreck, not care much plane crash it'd be nice, and last tiki and 2 more unique painting.
1. Proceed with story, get all new crafting as much as possible
2. Play on easy difficulty, start as low tech as possible.
Pro / con
- going with story mean you need to setup slightly bigger raft for each story island, especially if you want to get shark-proof or setup infinite crop / biofuel etc
- going low tech meaning you will just focus on scavenging flotsam and only stop on island if you saw pattern that you never been to
-problem with strategy 2, you will have issue with certain type of resource. good for solo player though as you minimize stuff to do on raft.
-i read somewhere that if you play on easy, you wont get large island before going to radio tower, technically increase chance to find hidden islands.
-navigating on low tech is harder since you cant go against streamer. most other stuff you can get when you unlocked smelter
- staying on low tech also mean you just focus your resource on just necessity stuff, im using this technique to get 1k foundations built since i got abundant of plank and plastic
i have 2 world atm, 1 i play with friend with story finished (he kept want to farm resource though...) and my solo world where i went with low tech.
i mean i got plane crash on solo world first hour in and i didn't even have receiver + antenna set up.
so just wondering how likely it is if its easier to bump into them low tech , pre-receiver
Once you get the blueprints for the antenna and receiver you will start running into large islands.
