Paint Update Tutorial?
Are there any guides/YouTube videos out there that explain how to paint with 2 colors and use the patterns? All I can find are guides from 2 years ago.

The problem I'm having is I paint a few squares, then it quits working. I have plenty of paint. I have to restart the game and it works for a few more squares then quits again.

i dont think its really difficult enough for a tutorial though, you just use a paintbrush like always, the UI shows you everything and lets you toggle secondary colors, the only real addition is V to toggle one sided painting, which you can tell by how much paint is on the brush, more paint means both sides.

what ive discovered is that its probably a scarecrow or other paintable object that freezes the paint system, if you look at a scarecrow with the paintbrush it breaks and you can pick up the scarecrow to fix it. if its not that then there may be other objects that do the same, when it breaks just look for whatever object is stuck highlighted with the paint when its not supposed to be and pick it up or get rid of it.

Just select the color and pattern you want and test out.

If you need to follow a guide to do even painting in Raft, you're missing out the fun

I am having the same issue. I was painting just fine and then the brush stopped working.

First time see someone ask for help and being extremely ungrateful for answers. You can choose to not listen to the answer I provided but simply slander a comment useless about a game feature you asked about and didn't bother try out yourself is just straight up shameless.
