BeeHive not working for me.
So I assume the 4 color flowers on the box are the kind needed nearby.
I have 1 of each, and a 2nd of i think red and black in these 2 small planters by the 2 hives.

Its been several game days.

Ive been standing around guarding them from the gulls, so i used this time to do fishing and other crops.

Ive harvested 5 rounds of beats, 5 rounds of potatoes, 3 rounds of watermellon and 3 rounds of pineapple since I planted those flowers.

Still nothing in the beehive.

Flowers need to be pretty much right next to the hive.

I use this setup and manage to get 10 hives to work at max (3 honey per harvest) on only 12 flowers.

When you have the beehives wrapped around it do gulls still bother your flowers? Is it possible to box it in by building a legit house/roof over it or will they still get in?

yes, you can and no, they wont
i built a 2x3 for 4 hives and the birds NEVER attack it.
i can even leave the door open.

Awesome. Just a small shack of sorts and they'll leave it alone. Thanks for the info. Was worried I'd have to keep wasting time with scarecrows.
i guess i should have mentioned my "shack" is INSIDE another building that has no roof.
