Started a new game and the raft auto parked in a similar island, so I could farm it without hurries :P
I agree completely. However it's been explained that the games important mechanics revolve around the existence of the raft, even with just only one foundation. In essence if there ain't no raft, there's literally no game to play.
Why, when I could just repair? It still IS the start of the game after a half hour of grabbing stuff I could use to repair the raft.
I think on easy setting you keep your inventory, I may be wrong thou
Not necessarily. Personally I would find it a challenge to rebuild which could in some ways be similar to a new game.
I believe games like these should have more ways to keep players alive & going. IDK how exactly but bad effects should be countered by good & visa versa.
I feel that this is the trick which needs mastering to creating a good survival game.
Because your raft should be expanding from the start despite shark taking a bite every now and then. Expanding the raft is one of the first priorities you have. If you have been grabbing stuff for half an hour why haven't you placed any new foundations?
First thing I've always done is to expand raft to at least 3x3 so I can place water purifier or grill in the middle so shark does not eat the foundation under it. Then 3x4 to fit the other one.
The good news is this can only happen within the first few minutes of gameplay, so literally just start over and be back to where you were by the time you finish reading this post.
Because on this first play I had no idea how. Still don't quite know for that matter.
