Raft

Worth playing solo?
Or would I need to bully someone else into getting it as well?

It's pretty good either way, but playing with some friends is always best.

Raft is a pretty open game, with no 'right' way to play. Whether you get more satisfaction out of Solo or out of Multiplayer is entirely dependant on your individual personality and not any inherent difficulty or gating set into the game. Some people thrive on group play and find playing games alone to be abhorrent. Others, myself included, thrive on solo gameplay and isolation.

Harder game modes are easier with multiple players, so that is one thing to keep in mind. But it seems to me that the harder difficulties are just the game's way of balancing things out for when folks want to play with friends.

I enjoy playing single player, it's a very relaxing game. The only issue I have with multiplayer is that I think it's a lot more fun if you have a regular group to play with. If random ppl drop in and drop out frequently, it's hard to appreciate the progress you have made together.

All the items are lost when the joining player leaves I think.

It's worth playing on singleplayer from my perspective (I have mostly played this game solo).

Might want to avoid hardmode though as it's respawning is designed more with multiplayer in mind. Hardmode in singleplayer basically means no respawning after death.

I've only played solo. It's nice and relaxing for me after you get past the first couple hours of struggling to build up the basics. After that it's kick back and enjoy the ocean or go exploring islands and is pretty chill.

I would only play Coop. To much grind alone and after a while to boring for me.

the game is really good fun, especially when learning how things work in solo before i coop with a friend,
(i find it peaceful and relaxing, on easy mode, where you still have to eat and drink etc to survive, but no shark attack unless you get too close and provoke it ;)

I think playing solo is best. Great sense of accomplishment surviving on my own! And of course hard mode is the way to get the best sense of accomplishment!
