You must find Radio Tower first. then you be able find large islands

You have to have been to Balboa first then any large island on the radar has a chance to be a evergreen island.

They will not spawn until you have been to Balboa.

Caravan island isn't in the game yet.

That is the first location. At the radio tower you get new frequency to tune to to take you to a 2nd location. At the 2nd location you get another frequency to take you to the 3rd which is Balboa island.

I never find evergreen islands. I've been to balboa and got the historian achievement from it, but every island I find now is still another screecher/warhog death trap. I want more bees so I can build hives to power my engines, but never find an evergreen island. I've been to 10 islands, so the "chance to find an evergreen after balboa" must be really small.

On the Wiki it says that they are in the Balboa biome. I don't know if you need to be nearish to Balboa to find them? Maybe I just misunderstood what they meant

If you want to find evergreen islands, set your coords to those designated for Balboa island. This will allow evergreen biome islands to be generated when new islands appear on your radar.

I wondered about this issue myself as I had set my coords to Caravan island thinking both biome islands would spawn, but no evergreen ever did. Once I switched back to the coords for Balboa island, the second new island was an evergreen.

Did you sail/move with the wind/stream or against it?

It is said here on the forums, that you need to travel against the stream with the engines (like you need to to reach Balboa island) to find an evergreen one, after you unlocked those when reaching (or just switching radar to?) Balboa...

Evergreen islands being the ones with the bear, bees and different types of trees.... ^^

To reach Balboa, you almost always have to sail against wind.
But as for the randomly generated islands, it's random. You can drift and have an evergreen poping up right in front of you.

Well, according to the forum, *that's* what the engine is for:
- Balboa island *always* 'comes up' *against* the wind/stream...

And i've read here multiple times as an answer why someone didn't find 'other evergreen islands', that they (their biome) also always lies against the wind/stream...
Couldn't confirm this for myself yet.

@Tevirik: Did you encounter evergreen islands when just drifting with/sailing with the wind?

TIA, Kerulon
