well jokes on me.
i built my raft as a giant light house with huge perimeter for defenses and collecting, not knowing engine efficiency would decrease as my raft gets bigger (because sails don't). Took several days to complete my floating paradise and fully decorate it.
i built 6 engines and put them next to each other but they can't push forward since my raft is too big. I don't have any more sensible space and I don't know how many more engines i would need since there's no clear indication what exactly decreases engine efficiency. I have to smash all my raft to find out and reach balboa.
i'm NOT enjoying this.
If you look at the engine it says not very clearly one engine for 100 blocks (only the floor blocks not walls or ceilings), you will have to count how many blocks touching water your ship has or put engines on till it works, the resourse colecting nets dont count as blocks tho.
i can confirm each triangle foundation counts as a full block for engine efficiency,
even when they are built next to each other to form a full foundation- then it counts as 2 blocks.
i knew it.
so...did i mention a very little tiny harmless detail,
that i built my whole raft with triangle foundations
ha ha.
this is a nightmare
