radar target keeps getting away
Is there a known issue with the first target on your radar? I've built mine for the first time and got a hit on it but literally no matter where I turn my sails I end up getting away from it. Spun 360 two times bit by bit. What am I doing wrong ?

Sails can't move your raft against the wind, only slow down forward movement. If something is opposite to the wind from your raft, you need either plenty of paddles or engines to reach it (Balboa for example pretty much always spawns opposite to the wind and you need engines to reach it).

Y=Directions your sail can move you to
X=Directions your sail can't move you to (you need paddles or engines to go this way)

If you have your sail directly opposite to the wind, your raft will still drift in direction of the wind, just slower. Direction of the wind never changes in the game so it always blows in one direction.

If the location you're trying to reach is story location, simply let your raft float until current story location despawns and game respawns a new one, hopefully in direction you can sail to.
