seagulls pass through walls
I have a pretty big problem in the game. Seagulls learned to walk through walls and roofs. In this regard, I decided to try to build up the walls and roof with a different layer. But even here, birds, despite obstacles, attack my flowers. I decided to follow the process, and indeed the bird dives down through 2 layers of the ceiling and at my approach flies through 2 layers of walls. It is not normal. Scarecrow does not help solve the problem. All flowers are destroyed.:steamsad:

Unfortunately this seems to be normal. I also got frustrated with planting things (except trees) as I experienced exactly the same thing. Seagulls even do not care if you stand next to the pots and in some cases beets and potatoes just vanished when I turned around without the seagul animation actually appearing (making a sound) ):
Good thing is that fishing is easy as nothing else in the game. You sure won't starve.

Iirc, the developers mentioned at one point that they plan to rewrite seagull AI in the future. Whether or not it's part of the next update and how the AI will be changed, we'll just have to wait and see. :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

Use you plant pots as seagull lures.. when they come.. shoot em and eat chicken wings! and get lots of feathers. You can then leave them alone for abit until the seaguls respawn.

Do you have windows or a thatch roof? Maybe they can get through those? I've got solid wood walls and a "floor" for my ceiling, and I haven't seen any seagulls attacking my crops in about 10 days.

No. the room is windowless and all made of wood. Doors also constantly close behind me.

I would also like to see this addressed. I feel really rewarded when I work up to a "chill" raft experience with my little oceangoing garden...but the seagulls always ruin the vibe. Would love to have a more durable option than the scarecrows for keeping them away.
