deep dive?

Has anyone found anything by going very deep?

I have yet to use the flippers and O2 bottle. I have swam down pretty deep and let my toon drown, and have never seen anything beyond the shallow reefs.

There are sometimes ledges below the coastal reefs with crates & resources, which require half your lung capacity to reach. I think these are only on the large islands (the green dots on the radar.)

They need to add a sonar.. hehe.. for the shark to eat.

Only around the islands. Some of the reefs will take you far from land and deeper than your lungs alone can carry you, but there is nothing out "mid sea"

I have suicide traveling deep and looking for things at the islands. I have yet to find anything beyond what is around the reefs. Maybe it is just bad luck. But i do not believe anything lies deeper than that. I feel the flippers and O2 bottles are more for convenience, of looting the reefs faster.

The o2 bottle and flippers are needed for the bigger islands as the water is deeper there. Or you spend alot of time dipping for stuff. Or drowning alot..

Yeah for real... I found one of those deep treasure trove lower shelfs, 2 large crates and about 30 ores, and had to loot every last bit even though I could only grab 1 or 2 per dive because I was too lazy to return to the raft to build diving gear!

you won't find more on the smaller islands, only the big ones and even then not every time. Look for signs that indicate more, for example one such spot had some wreckage on an underwater ledge above a massive loot haul.
