I normally build a 10w x 20L but the debris field is a little wider than the 20 foundations.
Will a 6x30 be wide enough for that?
Also, the boat turns this way and that as you're floating around, so just having them lined up left to right would still miss some I think. A couple days ago I started putting them randomly around my boat anywhere they would not look obvious, just to keep the foundation tiles under 100. And I was surprised when they would catch trash, cos I figured the other ones would get it all.
With 276 hours on line and well over 300 hours off line play I know all about that.
Until I get the wheel to be able to keep the long side turned facing the debris I use small rafts.
So the debris field in 27, good to know so my 6x30 should be able to catch it all then.
It takes many hours to build up on supplies and food and I keep my raft down to 6x10 filling up every inch with chest to hoard supplies in so I can build it to 6x30 then the next level is 10 x 32 with lots of room.
2 engines is enough for this build with only 180 foundation to push.
oh wow sounds like you have a very interesting perspective and have learned a lot. I should be asking you for advice, I bet you have good ideas! :-)
One other thing to note is that the debris field is centred on the centre of your raft, where the original 2x2 starter raft is located, so you need to expand equally each side of it.
