Cant find vasagatan?

This may just be me being bad at games but, no matter what I do I cant find the vasagatan island, I sailed for in game days in the direction my radar said was the way and it seemed to only get farther, I've sailed in every direction and cant seem to make the distance decrease,
I've tried resetting and rotating my radar and moving the antennas, but nothing seemed to work? Is this just my game being broken and needing to start a new file or am I just missing something?

Shut down your receiver (may want to change the frequency), drift couple of days and try looking for Vasagatan again on receiver to see if new one has spawned ahead of you. If an island is behind you (opposed to the wind), you can only get to it with plenty of paddles (turn sail against wind to stop forward movement) or engines that you can only find blueprints for on Vasagatan.

Do note that Balboa Island seems to always spawn opposite to the wind so only way to reach it will be (plenty of) paddles or engines (you need 1 per 100 foundations). That seems to be intentional. Vasagatan however should be reachable without them as long as you don't let it get past you..

Thank you! and I just wanna make sure I'm understanding right, remove it and drift with the wind for awhile, then put it back down and see of the island respawns?

Yes, change the frequency(this is just to make sure you're not tracking the old island, not 100% sure if necessary when receiver is shut down), shut down the receiver and drift away for awhile, then check if new Vasagatan has spawned, sail to it if it has, repeat the instructions and drift some more if it hasn't.

same issue, i been paddling 80 days in game, using all the signal in receiver. still not able to found it
