Dry grass glitch?
Sorry to ask but I'm sorta new to Raft. I read somewhere before deciding to report this that grass needs to be watered every time it's eaten by your animal, but I was only able to water mine once the first time I made it, for some reason? Now, even with fresh water in hand, the option to water the grass won't pop up, and my poor goat is dying from starvation when I can't do a thing about it. I have two grass plots which seemed to work fine- until I needed more grass to grow. Is this a glitch, or am I doing something wrong? Because when I'm holding my water bottle full of fresh water and staring at the grass, the only options are for me to drink the water, to dump the water, or to remove the grass plot. Nothing is there saying "Water me please I'm dying here". :/ I know it's not watered because the soil is still brighter and even after a few minutes the grass hasn't even started to spring up.
(And I mean, MINUTES. I saved after my goat ate knowing a storm managed to water the plot before when I was having the issue, so I wouldn't lose them, but now with no storm coming to grace my goat with food, i'm left struggling to get the grass to water. It was over ten minutes before I quit the game knowing I didn't want them to die. (I thankfully have autosaver off so it wouldn't save over the impending DOOM. x'D) Normal crops like potatoes, pineapples, trees, etc. water just fine, but it's my grass plots that won't do anything for me anymore...)

(Sorry, just so happened to be night time when I took this, but as proof I'm pretty sure I'm not doing some noob thing, lol. Any suggestions? Or is it just... A sad glitch? I probably won't play until I know the problem can be solved, because I love my goat too much. I JUST got them too as my first domesticated animal, I wouldn't want them dying from a force I can't even control. Also, sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. I wasn't able to find a "bug report" zone so I hope i'm not just overlooking something. x'D)

Have you tried reloading the game or removing and placing the grass pkot in another spot? I do find occasionally you have to reload the world for it to fully register certain things if they won't interact properly anymore.

um, don't really know , but perhaps your grass plot is to near something else or underneath it.
Also at 1 island, I can't remember which one, you have to crouch with everything, the new cooker the grass the water maker the furnace.. Are you anchored at an island?.
Try crouching and moving back and forth.
You could move the grass to another area and see if that is different.
I have my grass fenced off to keep the animals in one spot in case they die if they dont walk over a grass patch. I know the last patch was meant to increase the animals ai by enabling it, them to seek grass instead of stumbling over the floor and hoping they just happen to be on a grass patch.

I didn't relaunch/reload the game, no, so I will have to try that out as soon as possible, thank you. ;3; Also didn't try crouching because I didn't consider that relevant, so I will try that too. I did however remove and place the grass down in a new area, and it still didn't fix the non-watering glitch like I was hoping. I HAD been anchored and thought nothing of it, but I was checking the grass before this report even after I finally left the large island, so I don't think it has anything to do with the island since leaving didn't fix it. Not sure though, once again, I didn't reload/relaunch the game so maybe it was the island, but it wasn't going to register a fix without a good restart. (I do know games can be fussy like that.)
The grass isn't near anything at all, actually, it's in the middle of a new platform I made realizing I didn't want to make a fourth floor to my raft and should just expand it out since the only sinking rafts I know of are the random ones that spawn on your journey and your own due to glitches. That and I turned off motion sickness not because I get squeezy (Since i'm not bothered by extreme movement), but because the only thing that scared me in the game was whenever those GIANT waves would briefly put me underwater in the middle of my raft for a moment when I wasn't expecting it. My anxiety wouldn't take it so it means it won't be a threat to the animals ether, lol.
The only things "by" it (But still like three or four building blocks away) is my anchor (Which I have the middle fenced around so they don't fall into the anchors hole, nor would I if I backed up and wasn't paying attention.) and all the walls around the area that will become the grass/animal zone when I... Figure out what's up with it.

Due to life, I won't be able to play for the next few days, but as soon as I can, I will try reloading the game (I guess just... Launching it again in general will work lol.) as well as crouching and crawling around to see if those suggestions help, thanks guys. ;3; (As for animals being dummies, while I didn't own the game when the patch released, I've just been grabbing Gary, my goat, and throwing him onto the grass whenever he walked really far away from it, lol. At least until one day I have so much dirt I can COVER the zone in grass like I brought a yard with me or something.)
