my experience was at the very start the little bobbing raft with the girl on it turned 90 degrees were her feet are.
and i cannot remember to well but it was sinking then also.
when i loaded my game with a fairly big raft it also like yours sank.
oh no me thinks all that work gone. but a few restarts of raft, i had to close the game, maybe steam as well, but the third attempt it all went well again. happened one more time , i think, a long while back.
but yours sank immediatly the very first time you played so??
do you have an amd graphics card?
you might want to go through nown bugs & faqs. at the moment i cant recall how to do that but i will get back when i do.
does it do this in creative, what if you join someones game??
at the beginning there is a help item in the menu just click that and you can read the FAQ s and common issues - or submit a bug report.
you may get help there.
maybe delete the game then reload it may help.
good luck
