This has happened to me, save and reload. You'll be back on your raft. But yeah, don't get too far from it. If you're doing multiplayer one of you should go under and collect the stones for a throwable anchor and axe. Hopefully you have enough for a paddle.
The raft is the center of the universe in this game, so when out of range, everything dissapears.
The reason why it despawns is because Redbeet didn't think somebody would stray that far from their raft
I believe the solution is more tweaks & adjustments to the gameplay mechanics, to allow players to collect more items (maybe based on gameplay levels??). Or to allow some of the "beginning" items to be made much sooner, & with less resources. Such as the early anchor, & some other tools.
Also the addition of some kind of 'drag' anchor - maybe made from rope & a bucket. This could be deployed behind the raft, & would slow down its rate of travel, allowing us more time to gather the items as they pass by.
if the wind is pushing your raft and you get off it without flippers an anchor !
what ?
so you expect the raft to stop !!
stop wining, the game is well thought out.
Especially with only .3 hours of game play you wouldn't be used to the do's and don't do's in the game.
Seems fair to just jump on the island as he did and start afresh so ??? perhaps this needs looking into.
Either get the raft to be pushed up against an island so it won't move , this isn't always usable because the water might push it forward so it'll go around the island and sail off
You can also create a sail and have it going against the wind , this won't stop it completely but it will slow it down enough to the point where you'll have enough time to scavenge the island for resources
If you have any type of anchor then you can deploy it and then you can collect the items , and once you've collected what you wanted then take it back up , if it's a throwable anchor then you'll just have to make a new one
