Animals looking sad
I have 3 llamas and a dodo but sometimes the llamas look sad, we have constantly been supplying water to the field when needed. Are there other things to build for them except a cage and fields?

They'll get that "sad" look when they get hungry. they'll tend to eat fairly close to that happening so sometimes you'll see it right before they eat. It's all good.

If you carry the pet and drop it away from the grass patches, in short moments,
notable depressed looking down, and eyes loses its glow and pupils.
Observed from the donkey.

Need more dirt! I have more animals than I can cater for. I can't leave my Raft for a couple of minutes, only to come back to everything eaten and needing water. An irrigation system connected to the Water Purifiers would be awesome!

Wondering if I could get an explanation? Any help would be appreciated. I have... HAD only 1 llama and 3 patches of grass. A 5x5 area that was fenced I kept the grass growing. Suddenly, one morning, I found it slumped over. 1 patch of grass eaten. Then in 5 minutes, it disappeared.
Why the heck did it die?
Thank you in advance.

@Ballistic_Dragon The animals will roam away from the grass and they aren't smart enough to roam back to the grass. If it happens to be in their path of roaming they'll eat it. If not they will starve. For a 5x5 area 3 patches of grass is not a lot. You should get more grass to cover the entire 5x5 area. I know that is no easy task since there just isn't enough dirt. Just be patient.

Had yet to see my pets die.

Glitched through rails and dropped into sea in my sight. Twice.
Disappeared? Four times. But not into thin air.
Dived underwater, wedged between foundations, carried them abroad.

Lags, poor latency, heavy interactions, stuttering while running,
even the dark screen delay while 'loading into game' may cause pets to haywire.

just assumption and observation, in default normal solo game.

Maybe the issue might be more serious in a multi-playing raft.
