Mama bear at Balboa

I just want to make sure I am not doing something wrong. I am attempting to slay mama bear and so far its taken a ton of my arrows. Is there a trick to her or am I on the right track? Thanks in advance :)

You need to find 5 "wild berry"(don't remember exactly the name) and put them in the basket (not so far from Mama bear). Mama bear will focus to the basket eating the berries and totally ignores you (unless you attack her).

I am having the same problem. Does anyone know if you need to use metal arrows or are stone arrows just as effective?

u can use both
metal more dmg and sstiv

Like stated it takes a lot of arrows to kill her. To make it easier on yourself, get her to eat the berries and climb one of the rocks nearby. I found a rock near the trees that I could crouch on and hit her from without her attacking me. It would trigger her run animation, but she'd run in place.
