Raft
Where have all the seagulls gone?
I have about 18 seagull nests on my new raft but I haven't seen but one seagull (and it was only flying overhead) in about 10 day/night cycles.

Is this the nerf to eggs? If so... Not impressed.

There like the Bees, they left to go back to their planet

No, we haven't touched the seagulls, they come and go as they please.

Rather strange then... On my other save I couldn't go 2 (in game) days without my 35+ nests being all full and no more seagulls being able to use them because they're full, in my current game, seagulls came the first couple days, then nothing at all since then.

do you have a bunch of planters? Seagulls are given a target upon spawning I think, nests are lowest priority for them. If you are trying to kill some you could plant a couple of watermelons to draw them in.

I've got 16 planters evenly split between potatoes and radishes. I use a "No Peck" mod so that they don't attack the plants but just turned it off to see if that's the problem (hasn't been a problem so far) and got 2 seagulls come and peck at my crops but still none land in the nests over a 2 day cycle.

Well, playing with mods and disabling stuff might break things, so there's no way to rule out that modifying the game as you did maybe messed up the seagull.

I’m no expert and I haven’t tested it but I read something about seagulls the other day. If I’m remembering right, just having a bunch of planters can mess with seagulls targeting priority. Though I’m guessing they have to have seeds in them. Other things to consider; are nests up high? Are they covered? Do you get close to them too often so seagulls don’t get the chance?

Mod is not affecting my original game, just tried it (I don't play it anymore because I can only get about 17 to 27fps) but I emptied all the nests and a seagull almost immediately attached itself to a nest.
City Builder Nov 7, 2018 @ 9:08am
I just emptied them to see if that was the issue, didn't seem to be. Nests are on foundation level (my previous game they are up one level), no roof over them, free to the open sky and I build them in front of my raft by at least 5 or 6 foundations.

I'm going to try putting them on a platform since they work fine on my original game on a platform.

the seagulls rythm is strange sometimes. i thought it might have to do with beeing stationary at an island or moving. sometimes i ve all 5 of em, sometimes it takes a while even to get 1

btw i would like to remain the seagulls when joining the game again. i feel like the are not saved when i leave the game and have to come back everytime again when i resume my games

I've not seen any that land in my previous games on the nests when I'm anchored, only when moving.

They are (were?) bugged in that I'd often see 6 of them floating somewhere on or around my raft as if they were sitting in nests. Pretty sure that I reported it.

Same happened problem to me, but i never used any modes. Might be because is in peaceful mode now?

I just confirmed, seagulls only land if i'm not playing in peaceful mode and i don't have any other modes

No this was on my easy game. But yeah on my new peaceful game it's happening too without mods.
