Otherwise you may have to reinstall. If you're lucky the installer might detect the existing files and only download any missing ones. There are quite few people reporting their installed games showing as uninstalled on Steam Community Discussions:

Here is a support article about it:

It seems issue may occur when Steam is not allowed to shut down properly.
" How long 'was' long time ", " How recent you tried playing ", and any third party mods used.
If default game, could try troubleshoot by;
Take a look at SteamLibrary/ Raft/ Properties/ Local Files.
Is there a Disk Usage, and specific Install Folder.
If already installed, verify integrity and try game again.
If persist.
Move AppData\LocalLow\Redbeet Interactive\Raft to desktop.
verify integrity and try game again.
if still doesnt work, look below.
*Keyword here is 'invalid platform',
might relate to any change in 'your' C:, OS bit, Bios, Harddisk Disk format (FAT,NTFS) or failing of Disk.
Reflect to check on your Harddisk errors.
or reallocate games to other disk drives, from Steam Properties/ Raft/Local Files/ Move Install Folder..... elsewhere to see if helps.
Its wiser to separate Steam Games Installed folder onto partitions from Steam C: Application folder.
I do recall when I installed it on my new PC, it didn't install, it insisted on 'starting remote play' or something similar.
Xas: 'Long time' might very well be 'never'. As I just wrote Anonymous Helper, the game seemed to work, because I was actually playing from my new PC on my old PC that I had not turned off.
When I turned it off, raft seemed to stop working, but the fact is, it had never worked on the new PC.
So the question actually is: When a computer has once played a steam-game as remote, how do I tell Steam / the game / whatever, that it shall not play remote any longer, it shall install it here!
I can not remove it, it does not have any files locally on the new PC I can remove. And option for uninstall isn't there.
Steam, Settings, Remote Play.
Uncheck Enable, or Unpair.
Disable Steam Cloub Sync
Follow the earlier post instructions to reinstall or validate game.
If still problematic, uninstall Steam. clean up and wipe the Steam 'app' folder that contains 'broughtover' contents, so u start fresh.
Sounds like you're using Remote Play Anywhere to play Raft on another computer (basically you run the game on one computer and remote play streams it to another device allowing to control the game from that device).
To disable it, in your steam client go to settings (click 'Steam' in top left corner) and choose remote play. Either unpair the devices or uncheck the 'Enable Remote Play' option to disable the feature completely.
That's my guess anyway looking at the settings. Haven't ever used the feature.
Do make sure that the other computer you want to play the game on is running 64-bit operating system and CPU as Raft won't otherwise run. I don't think you can install the game if your computer does not meet those requirements.
I found the root of the problem today: Somehow my OS installed was 32 bit.
I don't understand why, because my PC is 64 bit, and it never before occurred to me that my OS might be only 32 bit.
It was Anonymous Helper's advice to be absolutely sure about the 64 bit OS that led me to check this.
I'm going to make a new install with the 64 bit OS, and I bet this Raft-issue will be solved.
Thanks again!
