Mine works fine.
Hold an empty cup.
E over salt water to fill the cup with salt water.
E over distiller to fill the blue cup with salt water.
Add wood for a fire.
When ready the water will move from the blue cup to the purple cup.
E over the distiller to fill your cup with fresh water.
LMB to drink the fresh water.
It's pretty much displayed on screen what to do so if you cannot then it may be a bug.
// try moving it to a reasonably uncluttered spot.
I'm coming from having played the free version where this worked incredibly simply: you cooked the water in the cup, then picked up the cup and drank the fresh water. Reading the posts above, it now seems that the water stays in the purifier but you need to have your cup in your hand in order to collect it. That may be the OP's problem as well.
I will try this.
Well it's common sense to put water into an empty object if you want to hold it
Acutally, it makes MORE sense to just pick the cup up off the purifier since you can clearly see one sitting there, full of fresh water-- and even more-so since THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THE GAME, WHICH I STATED ABOVE I HAD BEEN PLAYING UP TO THIS POINT does it that way.
