Local Game

Is there a way to play the game together on a local network, having one license? I understand that to play with a friend you need to have two licenses, that’s right, but I’m interested in the option of a local game, when you could not abuse this opportunity (we are in the same room, no hamachi etc, just router or cable). I have many games that I would like to play locally with my wife, primarily Raft. Should I buy all games 2 times for this? It's over expensive

The multiplayer is currently online only. Each player needs their own copy of the game. I don't think devs have stated any plans to support other multiplayer methods. While that does not rule out the possibility, it certainly isn't high priority.
