How to reach Balboa Island
Okay, so I tried to get to the Island, but I can't get near it. It only gets to 1479m on my receiver. How can I fix it. I changed my sail into all kind of directions and I think it faces the right one, but I can't get below 1479m. Please help me^^

Balboa Island is against wind currents. You're going to need to use engines and a steering wheel ( or a lot of paddles ) to get there. You should have found the blueprints for those in Vasagatan. You can use wood as fuel for the engines.

You get all the pieces for biofuel processing on Balboa, so getting there the first time using biofuel is not an option :).

Oddly enough... I actually ran into balboa island without trying. I did not build any of the engines and such yet.

you dont need the engine if you have a small raft you can just use the steering wheel and the sail like me

You can fill engine with wooden planks. Biofuel is just better and you find recipe for it in Balboa.

Requires 1 engine per 100 foundation to a max of 6 for 600+ size raft.

I to am having trouble for the first time reaching balboa. I've got 2 engines and a pretty small raft. The numbers were going down I'm anchored right at 1k meters away. But when i pull anchor and keep heading that direction it starts to move further away sometimes the number doesn't change at all. Both engines are running without a hitch

Check the placement of the receiver. The locations on the receiver screen are relative to the orientation of the receiver, not your raft. "Up" on the receiver is the direction you are facing if you are standing right in front of it looking at the screen. If you placed it off to the side and rotated it, "Up" on the screen may be to the left or right of your raft. This could result in you sailing past the location so the distance decreases, then increases as you pass it.

To make it easier, place the receiver so that if you are looking at the screen you are facing the front of your raft.
