More likely after the shark took the piece of foundation its on.
Simply build a few ' outwards extending ' foundations beyond the anchor as ' bait '.
Pro tip: in the interim have your sail against the wind when you drop anchor so even if the shark bites off your anchor the raft won't go away very far.
If youre at the point of normal anchor and armored foundation, I dont think not having space for it is an excuse, unless you want your raft to be small.
Same. I clocked 210 hours in the game so far and the wind never changed once. It will always push you towards the sunrise.
It will only point the wrong way if your raft bumps into the island causing it to turn but i always park on the side of the island so i never have to worry about bumping into things. Worst case scenario you can have your sail pointing back and slightly away from the island.
I don't use steering wheel or engine (they are useless at this point in the game since there is no reason to go against the wind or any faster than the wind since the islands are randomly generated) and i never had the wind shift on me.

I'm sure the engine and steering wheel will become more vital in the next chapters of the story but for now you can take it or leave it.
Thats why I like this game, because you can go either way. Be it sail and shifting them or using steering wheel and engines. With Beehive update engines with biofuel will finally be useful.
