Recipecost/Durability
I feel like the ratio between cost for crafting and the durability of the crafts is more than meh. especially the fishingrod is too expensive in my opinion.
All in all i like this game but there need work to be done. most of my time i´m gathering resources to maintain my tools than extending my Raft or exploring Islands or other stuff

An advanced fishing rod will feed a single person for quite a while before it breaks.
Personally, I think the ratio is pretty solid. Enough time to get other things (like building your raft) done and explore, but not so much time that forget about the survival aspect of the game and you need to balance the two.

The apparent cost of items goes down as you keep playing and get better established.

It's kind of a weird concept when saying it, but it makes sense. Once you have enough collection nets made, have the diving gear to get good resources, and can fend off the shark; resources will be piling in.

If and when you stop building, resources will seem to just stuff your storages, and the costs don't seem as critical as they used to be.

I think the biggest offender in terms of a high cost with a low use count was the axe, until the Dev team took the durability of the old axe and put it on the newly modeled Stone Axe and slowed the swinging speed; and had an improved durability with the now renamed metal axe and upped the cost to be on par with other metal items.

I might have to start a new game again, since I'm at a point where I really don't need to cut down a lot of trees, nor do I have the desire to fish. I have more food and wood than I know what to do with.
