Some people had reasonable responses, thank you I will consider that before I post something like this again.
For the rest of you, there are probably 10 people who read a post without responding to every one person who does. There were probabaly lots of people who didn't like this game. You don't represent anyone but yourselfs.... take it easy.
And I think you are missing the point, I could have spent more time figuring out the game, I could have come onto the forums to ask for help (and did as the previous post points out.) But i don't want to work that hard, i didn't think the game was worth that level of effort.
And think like a business for a moment, if any business anywhere wants money from people, it should take this kind of feedback. Again a 3 to 5 minute in game tutorial would have made me a happy customer.
But please, keep teling me I am a moron who just doesn't get it.
though I don't know if that would've helped the OP or not.. but i'd figure if the quest was like, "gather 2 leaves, craft a rope".. it would maybe help.. maybe..
You keep talking about this as a business. Really, its a simple game mechanic you didnt understand. I suggest not buying a game you havent seen played before if you go straight to blaming the game for not being able to learn.
Also, if a business has a customer who clearly doesnt understand the product, they dont issue a refund. A sandwich is a sandwich whether someones thinks its a sandwich or not. Nothing was wrong with the sandwich, you just didnt know how to eat it.
I think the game could do more to help explain what to do at the beginning (how many of us knew how to use the reserach table?) I may not agree with the OP's reaction, but that's not going to cause me to have an overly hostile reaction.. I just don't get it.
also, the struggle is real, only not rope, but scrap. new game last night I swear I looted 10 barrels before a single scrap. a quest line could give small rewards (like scrap) to smooth out some of that RNG
That being said. You shouldn't have "Don't buy this game" in your title because you were unable to learn a game that would be overall to most people, simple. You are instigating others to come in here to start ♥♥♥♥ with that type of title. Its wrong to have that title with your type of argument behind it, the argument doesn't support it. You should rename it to "Tutorial for Begginers Please?" Or something along those lines. Than everyone can come together and give their opinion if the game needs a tutorial or not. The argument would be surrounded by, Just because you believe there should be a tutorial doesn't mean the game should have one. And. Just because you believe there shouldn't be a turorial doesn't mean the game shouldn't have one.
Also. Your telling people to not buy this game because it doesn't have a tutorial, plus complaining about dying in the game. What did you expect to happen when you did that. So you acting all surprise about the reasponses your getting itsn't helping anything.
Luminary, if you actually took the time to read what I had to say. I'm sorry if I came out a bit harsh, but this is my honest opinion in reasponse to what you had to say. Your free to try to change my point of view, I have an open mind, at least I try to keep one.
In my own opinion. I feel this game is pretty simple and easy to learn, I enjoy playing it when I do. I'll do my best to not forget about the game when I get bored of it, I'm sure more things will be added over time.
