Please fix this security vulnerability ASAP! It is not possible to use the multiplayer!
I checked the friend list. All person (who have the game) was offline!
You should create an invite only system or any solution!
You might want to submit a ticket to Steam about people hacking their way into other people's private games.
I have 150+ steam games. How can it be that random players cant join to my ark server, they cant join to my rust server, they cant join to my forest, they cant join to my dead by daylight if i dont invite them... Why dont write the Raft team to the Steam support and find a solution for the next update instead of tell me that I should write to steam support?
Look, I understand how infuriating it is to have some stranger join in and troll, but I also know that given some code trickery, a person can join games they aren't supposed to on Steam. Informing the Dev team via a public message board is one thing, but a more official way is to submit a ticket to Steam, since they are the ones in charge of who gets access to what via invites and friends list permissions. Redbeat Entertainment just does as they are told via whatever API and authentications are needed to utilize the Steam network.
I'm wanting the problem solved as well, and not saying you are being <whatever insult> for ranting here.
Kicks everyone from your world.
Put a code on your games to keep other people out, probably not 100% effective but it'll help most of the time.
Never had any randoms invade my games.
You need to make sure that when you load the world you select "Friends can join" and not "Everybody can join". For added security, set a password and give that privately to the people you want to join. Make sure no one shows or shares that password especially not in a live stream.
If someone is still able to get into your game, I agree with the others that it is more likely to be someone exploiting the Steam code and not the Raft code.
