Does the raft move slower when it gets bigger?

Also, whats the best way to reach the top of islands? Is there a way besides building laters? Sometimes it's hard to hit the island on a specific side of the ship.

If you can reach the lower parts of the islands with a single staircase, look around the edges of the lower areas and do some creative jumping to get around the higher parts. It's worked for me on a few islands.

Our solution: We have roofs on all 4 sides of our raft. Roofs can be simply added one after another, gaining heigth fairly quickly.

also, no I don't think the raft moves slower as it gets bigger but the entire game runs slower so, yes.. in a way it does :) just from building the ramp above a bit of FPS drop was noticable..
