No floating items (wood, plastic, etc.) anymore..?!
So me and my friend normally playing the game no crashes or deaths our characters, and suddenly we do not see any more wood and other floating stuff around us. Idk if its a bug or something but we have a sail on our boat and i am pretty sure we are moving... any ideas?

Leaving your sail open will actually move you out of the debris field if you aren't sailing in the right direction (use the streamer to keep an eye on wind direction).
Just close your sail and wait a few minutes. A new debris field will soon appear.

Go in directions of the wind and you will get debris again.

I'm having the same issue. Everything was working fine and then all of a sudden all of the floating debris vanished. I know that they recently took all of the debris away in creative mode. I was not playing in creative mode but I'm wondering if that might have something to do with the bug. It's unplayable without resources.

You sailed away from the debris flow. You need to change direction to get back to it. It's not a bug.

I'm having this problem too, my friend just said "the difficulty is meant to go up", but this is an absolute drop. From a lot of resources to absolutely none.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

You're playing in creative mode? They removed debris and islands for creative in the last update.

I don't think that's true.. In fact that's the bane of survival games like this -- all the challange you'll ever find is present on day 1.. while your gear progresses, the challange does not.

Yep this worked for me when I was having the same problem.

As people noted - the debris is generated ahead of your raft in the direction of the wind. If your sail is angled far enough away from the wind direction, your raft sails outside the band of debris generation. This usually happens when I'm trying to get to a big island. Just remember to move your sail to match the wind direction (red flag) after you get to the open sea.
