Raft

Repairing the raft?
So if the shark starts chewing on the raft and I knock him off with the spear, is there any way for me to repair it, or do I need to just wait for it to break?

Go to your hammer, hold right click and click the little green + at the bottom of the row. then hit thre broken part of the raft. must have planks :golden:

Use your hammer, right mouse button to select what you want to build, bottom item is repar. Select that then hit the broken part.

Here's a tip that works best in multiplayer: If you're late at reaching the shark, throw on your hammer and make sure that the foundation stays repaired. Another player can stab at it while you make sure it stays about 50%, or you could max it out and then start stabbing. I've had a few times where this saved the foundation that was holding up an important pillar.

You know repair costs wood right? That would be more costly perhaps then replacing. The metal spear gets him off in 2 hits and kills in about 8 to 12.
Read the last line: It's good when you have important stuff on that foundation. Maybe this is the result of having already lost a foundation, putting a collection net near it, or derping and putting important stuff at the edge anyways, but it's far more costly to lose all of that than to perform a single plank's worth of repairing.

Yup I lost my stove and stairs to sharks, I no longer have anything on the edge by the water.
