Raft
Everything stops spawning around my raft
It's happened twice, now, where everything just stops spawning. No islands, no garbage, no rafts. The shark stays, even respawns after I kill him, but I've been out of most basic mats for 2 game days (this time) and I'm gonna start starving if I can't get more trash hauled in within 2 more.

I have had things dry up for me too and this work well.
thats no problem to run out of it but that you sit there waiting for over 10 mins or longer and really nothing spawn in then thats a problem. late game ok fine but early then you need to have a start some how right.

dont have your sail open, check if you have an anchor thrown down and everything should be fine if you dont

This isn't just a build simulator? When did that change? All you can do in this game right now is build and eat/drink 30 peoples weight in food a day.. >_>

It's infinitely more likely that you are simply sailing in one of the game's designated barren areas, or have heedlessly set your sail against the wind, which can cause you to actually not move at all.

It is said by one of the Devs that loot stops spawning when you are below a certain speed.

Placing streamers to gauge which way the wind is blowing is absolutely important. So important I put 4 around my sail so I always have easy access to one when steering my sail (can't always guarantee which way the raft is facting after all). You come to a near stop if your sail is pointing against the wind. Realistically, that isn't how sails work, but it is helpful when needing to do a quick stop for whatever reason, or when needing to cancel out the (plot device) current so you can paddle against the current.

There are times when flotsam is absent, but usually that happens when doing significant course changes, or going too slow for it to trigger. When using the sail, I know I can't go backwards against the wind with it, so at most I aim the sail 90° from the direction of the wind and can still go fast enough to run into debris lines.

If getting up and going doesn't work, the often cited "reboot" tends to help. Saving the game, exiting, and reloading could reset things.

Of course your character eats and drinks so much! It is hot out there and is often swimming or building like mad! The character has the caloric intake of Michelle Phelps when training for the Olympics!

Hate to double post, but that just came to mind.
