My chickens disappeared

I logged in today and my 3 chickens are just gone. I know there was an update of some kind today. Could that be it? My llama and goat are fine and there. I don't think they died. I don't see a nametag anywhere and they have plenty of grass in their enclosure. Anyone else just missing animals?

4 X 4 with 3X3 grass plots, 2 sides on the ocean are actual boards and the inside is rope

I just caught a new chicken. So we will see if he stays in there, lol

Until now i had no missing animals. But this means not much (most playtime i had none).

Well i could imagine that during high waves the animals can pass the half high obstackles.
if you have again this issue maybe try higher walls and swap the Rope for wood
