Need help with taming animals!
I've been trying to catch a llama now for the past few days of playing, and no luck. Actually the process of it is what gets me - I need to find a big island, then hunt for pufferfish (I only kill them about 50% of the time because sometimes it explodes in my face), then make the nets, only to not use them correctly because I don't have the timing down to waste them...

Is there a video of some sort teaching people how to correctly aim and shoot the net? In the videos I've watched people make it look so easy, but I still don't have the timing down correctly.

Animals often have some kind of "normal way" they are walking over the big islands. Just remember where you found one animal, walk a few meters away und duck. Aim a little bit over the animal when they are near and a little bit in front of them when they are moving. That should work. If you do not want to wait until they come back, just walk normaly, no sprinting. You will see the animals earlier and they will not run away, giving you enough time to creep up to them and aim properly. The nets are like arrows, you have to aim higher when the animal is far away.

If you want to kill a pufferfish, use bow and arrow. Just swim backwarts while shooting so the fish will not become near enough to explode. That will make it easier.

I hope I could help!

Once getting the computer all fired up, with the antenna's and such, its easy to find a huge island.
As puffers are only around huge islands, its best to always swim around the island.
Most likely there are atleast 2 Puffers each island.

Best way to kill them is the Bow & Arrow, 4 stone arrows and it's dead, and remember; before picking up the dead puffer, take your arrows first cause those will disappear.

With the whole catching thing, my personal experience with getting a hit is the following thing.
Follow the animal you wanna capture till it hits a dead path or the AI is forced to run back, then when it runs straight for you, fire.
( perhaps there are better ways, but that;s how i did it )

:] happy hunting!

Yes, the net gun is tricky! I cheese it up a bit playing single player- I save right before I'm ready to shoot the net. I miss, quit without saving, load game, try try again. Generally, for the fast clucker, I have luck when the critter is running from my left to right or visa versa. That way I can aim ahead of its running path.
You'll get better with practice!
