VAC is valve's anti cheat system and can be freely used by any Steam game along with any other feature provided by Steam api. It's not just for Valve's own games. Quite few games make use of it actually.

But no, Raft does not make use of it so people can't get VAC bans for cheating in single player or multiplayer. Quite few mods are basically cheats or can be used for cheating. Just be aware you're using them at your own risk.

Not for cheating, no.

The context was, it is a single player game, which is also not from valve, meaning you cant get banned for it. i didnt say only valve's game can by guarded by valve's anticheat.

Better than maybe malware pested Trainers and cheattables are mods in my opinion
i strongly suggest to use this 4 mods. In combination they alow everything between a a very fine Rebalance and a 100% Cheat. (Means different to trainers its not a all or nothing game spoiling experience) (Be aware, too many benefits spoil the fun, my experience is that the best you can do is removing obnoxious gameplay only)

(btw dont enable Developer cheats in the balance mod if you have the Item spawner mod. It raise the gamespeed by pressing F8 (Spawner menue) and kill you, simply dont activate it !
Or you must press F7 (freeze time) before you press F8. )
