Bird Nests still working? (feathers)

Since the large island patch, bird nests no longer spawn eggs. Feathers only.

Since I came back (last week) I've spent 10+ days in game, and my crows nest, which has 10 nests on a 8 squares floor has not produced a single feather.

Was there another nerf I missed or are these broken? My normal operations are on the other side of the raft (to not disturb) and the crows nest is 7 squares above waterlevel.

Works flawless, but not in creative or if you have crop plots they prefer them
But sure maybe your placement dont work, just try other spots
