Can I climb on a ladder with a animal in hands
as above, is possible to climb with animal? Also, sprinkler will work at upper floors?

my experience is don't do anything with an animal in your hands. nothing that requires you to click E to interact with the game. The animal is dropped. Yes, sprinklers work on my 2nd floor just fine.

Yes, you can climb a ladder with an animal in hand. On my main raft I have captured around 25 animals and my pens are a couple of floors up, accessed by a double ladder.
