Only in Sandbox though
There was always a lot of criticism from players about that particular micro-management of the very trivial task of feeder refill. Just check the forum here.
Now that micro-management part is even more pronounced, using flares and not being able to use a single ranger queueing several refill tasks anymore.
I am not sure it is for the better. Need to restart the whole campaign to find that out I fear ...
Instead of listening to bleats on the internet I checked it out for myself. In 10 hours of gameplay I have yet to have my ranger team attacked.
You go on believing what people tell you to believe.
It s***s already enough that we have to MANUALLY send a jeep to replenish the feeders each time (trust me: that will become your full-time job once you have many busy enclosures). But these big brains decided "Let's make it even more time-consuming!" If I wanted to play Breach-and-Clear…Well, I would play Breach-and-Clear! Having to throw ‘flares’, distract and dodge Dinosaurs, is not the game I came here to play! We’re here to build and manage a unique park! If you like RTS games and wanted to develop one…Jurassic park was maybe not the right project for you!!
And what about the toilets?? Another stupid idea forced on us at the same time!
The big problem is the maps are already quite limited in space you can use to build. So I don't know how on earth they could ever think this would be a good idea. What: They don't have toilets in Hotels? Restaurants? Gift shops, or giant visitor centers that we managed to build there?? How the F*** does it make sense to build completely separate buildings for....Toilets?!!
Yep. That's it! That's all these new (essential) buildings do. Yeah, I know: Among ALL the amazing funny, spectacular, or useful buildings or attractions they could have added to increase variety and replayability, all they could come-up with were.....toilets (!)
Many of my Islands were already quite built. Now what do I demolish? A full Dino enclosure? ....to give my guests (too stupid to piss in their hotel rooms) a new throne to sit on??
These two changes imposed on us really kills it for me. Are these guys even playing this game?? How can they think it makes sense?? Did they even think about all those Islands already built??
Most companies on earth end up being the ones causing their own downfall, just thanks to human stupidity. "Don't fix it if it ain't broken"! Ever heard of that??...Apparently these folks are no different! All you need are a few lunatics, getting bored sitting at their desks and not playing their own game, to come-up with easy, cheesy, and most importantly goofy changes like this!
I can't believe devs who made such a great game won't realize (and change) their mistake. I will edit my review if and when this happens. But for now, for me, Jurassic Evolution is down…The toilet!
The feature just came out, give them some time after the holidays to tweak it some. They're bound to raise jeep health or lower damage done. Maybe make it so that nothing other than direct hits from the dinos cause damage so they don't kill themselves crashing into gates and stuff.
Main issues with the dinos I've had so far is ceratopsids have a really low tolerance for an easy to keep dino and the small carnivores only seem to attack when cornered. Can only imagine how bad ankylosaurids are. I don't use them often since they have low tolerance for high population.
I agree with every word of yours.
