Dinos need to sleep and poop.
As title says.

Really? Why? What exactly would that add to the game? Of all the things this game needs I don't think those are it.

Aw come on, you know you want to send your rangers out to clean up every last one ;-)

Maybe someone can make a parody game, similar to that first person parody game, where you clean up the space station AFTER an alien incursion is defeated. You mop the blood and guts.

In this case, you are the ranger, cleaning up poop from beneath dinos in a park someone else built. :D

in general the game needs a whole lot more dino animations, thou pooping might be a little too much...

Sleeping would be good, although then Frontier would need to fix that idiotic notion that small predators are ok with being kept in confinement with a large predator that chases them all day, panics them and prevents them from socialising.
Pooping seems ott becuase we have enough busy work as it is for the rangers without having to tell them to go muck out the pens too. This was ok in Zoo tycoon becasue you could assign a keeper to specific pens and have them take care of things automatically, here you have to order every single action the rangers take for the entire park.
The main animation change I want to see is to change the raptor and deinonychus escape animations. having them headbut a hole in the fence is just stupid, they can leap and climb ffs why don't they try to go OVER the fence like they did back in JP:OG?

You need to build a bigger habitat or structure the habitat (f.e. with "zones" between tree-lines) then this works with the predators. If the smaller ones die - it is a habitat problem- except the bug, when they are stuck at the feeder.

I'll bet this was suggested and turned down for the initial release by Universal. It's a clear gameplay mechanic that works in a park sim that you need to clean up or your park rating could drop. And it could go further by using the mechanic to clean up trash bins and litter that could slowly accumulate. Maybe they will be allowed to do features like this later in updates.
Heck, half the effort of running a zoo is cleaning up after those animals...

Given that dinosaurs lay down when sick and near death, it seems likely that they had the intention of allowing dinosaurs to sleep. Whether they didn't have the time to get it functioning properly or just sayd "nah" i don't know. I hope they expand upon it in the future.

Raptors curl up into a ball.

yes, because i want to spend my gaming time ordering rangers around to clean up dino poop.. sounds fun.
The Big Red 1 Jun 19, 2018 @ 5:43pm
i would be more interested if the dinosaurs could breed and lay eggs instead of just having using your hard earned cash to make a new one which is ridiculous

Even if that were the case, since the park parts of the game are rather lackluster, there isn't much else to do other than watch your dinosaurs and it would be a lot more interesting seeing generations pass.

Besides, there are plenty of male dinos in the movies. JP1 had gender-swapping dinos. JP2 had male T-Rex as well as the baby rex. JP 3 had plenty of male raptors.

The gender swapping dinosaurs were due to the frog genes and it was an unintended side effect. All dinosaurs in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World are bred as female so that the population can be controlled and that dinosaurs will have the desired genes. That's why in the game all dinosaurs are female as well. Allowing male dinosaurs and letting dinosaurs breed freely would be against the entire lore of the franchise which just isn't going to happen. I'm pretty sure that this is something that Universal would definitely not allow.

Yes, within the confines of the parks, dinosaurs were not allowed to breed.

Site B had numerous active breeding pairs; they are part of the lore/franchise. The game doesn't really feature a more nature preserve/Site B mode right now but if it did, it would have to allow breeding otherwise it'd just be as hollow and pointless as the rest of the game. With the DPG being "included" in the game (Claire Dearing), there's every reason to allow such a mode to exist.

It's little more than wishful thinking right now. I would hope the add more to the park section of the game first obviously.
