Dinos starving and dehydrated even though they've got water and meat inside
So, my velociraptors were fine but now they're acting up and their food/water is at 0 even though they've got multiple meat and live feed objects in their area. Raptors in a different area are fine, anyone knows what's going on?

maybe its becasue they are getting old and when that happens it usually means theyre gonna die
Majestic Jun 16, 2018 @ 9:35am
I never had that happen to me, when they grow old they're still happy, have plenty of stuff to eat and drink. So far they just died without any health issues and I don't have that problem with any other dinos.

I have noticed on a couple occasions dinos getting stuck in one place and not doing anything. Not eating, not drinking, not walking. Bug I guess. They got fixed after I put them to sleep and moved them an inch.

I also noticed on one accasion ceratosauruses keeping dilophosauruses away from water source.

They get glitched into the ground and need to be healed, tranq'd, and moved to fix it for a bit.

If you tranq' them and then transport them 5m away, they should "work" again, always solved this prob for me so far.

20hrs into but only had this happen 2 times, but then, tranq --> transport, worked.

All right, I'll do that next time it happens. On another note, is there any way to wake them up from being tranq'd other than moving them with a heli? It doesn't seem they will ever wake up on their own.

No, there is no other option currently, seems stupid, but we have to deal with it, anyway, tranq will work to solve your problem =)

Do you have any bigger carnivores (or really big herbivores like bronto/diplo) with them or in another enclosure nearby ?

I have pens with 1 Rex 2-3Brachio + 3 Diplodocus and 5-6 Raptors that work without any issue, but for this, you need BIG pens, cause the Brachio/Diplo sometimes get panicked from the Rex and flee into the woods and there you need to have food water, if this is given, you get a lot of visitors from 1 pen, if you want to push this, release a Cerato/Edmonto/Stego into this pen and let the rex kill it, this way you constantly push the Rex's rating, but watch out, if your Rex is not optimized, a Stego may kill it, so go the safe way and release others. IF you have a Rex that is optimized to attacks, np, he will kill any Stego =)

Later, the best Indominus Rex will kill every (max attack) T-Rex in 9/10 battles, but I keep the Indom alone with a few Raptors, as she will panick the large herbivors even more.

Good for you, but neither where it you that has a problem with their raptors starving nor was the topic how to push the rating...

I already answered the question about "starving dinos", just tranq' them and transport 1-100m away =)

Btw, your question was, if it is possible to keep large herbs with carns in 1 pen, I think you got an answer ^^

It's a bug. I've seen some of them just stand there and not move, some get stuck on trees, and fences (or panicked). Tranqing / transport fixes it, but it's still an annoying bug

IF they get stuck somewhere... as said a million times before... Tranq' them, then transport away, no matter how far.... you're l8... :steamfacepalm:

My point is , you shouldn't HAVE to do that

They shouldn't get stuck on something, and they shouldn't stay panicked so long that they die. I know what to do to fix it. I'm just saying it's an annoying bug

That's right, but this has already been posted "A MILLION TIMES" on the official bugthread and will be fixed soon ;)
