Please fix the T-rex
Please fix and balance the T-rex its so freaking stupid to look at this entitled brat run around in its pen while the stupid needs keeps adjusting depending on which part of the pen it stands in, meanwhile every other dino is good to go without the need to whine about grassland or forest 24/7...

Clearly you've never tried to house a Brachiousaurus. Those ladies are real fussy. I had several breakouts on their behalf on the second island.

But really though, I don't think they need fixing or balancing, per se; at least, not the Tyrannosaurus specifically. I think their environmental needs in general just need a bit of tweaking. Being a a sort of AoE is super detrimental, especially if you're working with smaller spaces like that of Isla Pena. If the terrain is uneven or they wander too close to a fence, and that specific area doesn't meet their needs, they start losing comfort, and that bothers me.

Personally, the size of the paddock + paddock interiour plus maybe a 5-10 meter around the paddock perimeter should be the terrain where they care about their environmental needs.

Well this is what i am "crying" about

T-Rex has given me less trouble then even the Ceratasaurus

I built two exhibits for T-Rex so far

One on Isla Mantaceras where I put it the grassy fields up north and split the exhibit down the middle so I could display two of them

And the other which I designed completely the same is on Isla Tacno where I put it up north from the starting unfinished exhibit

And I have them surronded by Power plants, paths, viewing centers, monorails, hotels, ACU HQ, Ranger HQ, Raptor exhibit, and a general Plant Eater exhibit

And I've never once had trouble with their comfort. Just keep it surronded by Meat Dispensers and Goat Dispensers

Generally supply 4-5 Meat Dispensers and 4-5 Goat Dispensers and It'll be completely happy

I'm kinda suprised to hear it may have a AOE comfort since I never once had any issues with that, unlike the Sauropods

I had to crack open the pen like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coconut just to please the damned creature
just like this idea from another post

Little and medium dinosaurs will go around.

But its just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ugly to look at and doesnt fit in at all

Lol, the T-rex has been my least problematic Carnivore yet, by a long shot. Even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dilophosaurs are more of a pest.

T.rex and I.rex etc. are SUPPOSED to be hard to keep. Seriously, has anyone here actually watched the movies?

Amen! That's exactly my point of view, so there isn't really something for me to say about that :D

Just to support some of the posters above. The T-rex is no problem if you build the enclosure right. My first one died of old age and never once got out. It only tried about 2 times that I noticed and that was during storms.

It is indeed no problem at all, however it's true that the dinosaurs perception of their enclosures is, frankly, a little bit buggy. I noticed several times that my dinosaurs suddenly thought that there is no forest in their enclosure even if half of it is, in fact, forest. Therefore I think that this needs, in general (not especially for the T-Rex), some tweaking.

I honestly wonder what this is about, I never had the problem with any enclosure. I incubate, release and dart -> transport to the enclosure and adjust it on the fly. The only times where I had problems was due to dracorex (real early in the game) that he desperately has to have a companion of the same race oh and raptors on 2nd island while storm.

Maybe you just do it wrong, idk.

When the T rex move from a happy part of the pen to a less happy part of the pen then the comfort starts dropping

Like shouldnt the whole pen have the same area of effect? It makes no sense that it goes from 10 to 0 depending on which part of the pen/exhibit/paddock the T-rex is standing in
Older zoo tycoon games had a system with needs, but without this weird part that makes no sense

Im here to play the game, manage the whole park and have fun with the dinos
Im not here to babysit a T rex because the system seems flawed

I've never once had an issue with my Rex.

They need large open fields. Take out trees on all sides of your T-Rex enclosure... why do you have thick forests in there at all? It's very easy to keep Rex happy. Also, your Rex pen sounds like it's far too large if he's able to traverse to the opposite side and it drastically changes his mood.

How can people cry about a Trex's or even an Indominus Rex needs? Are you guys really trying to play the game and are you truly trying to give him a good pen? You clearly aren't lmao. Do you even know that you can put more grass down in the landscape option? You have none on your screen LMAO.

Never had a single problem with the Rex. Not sure what your doing wrong other than getting the amount of grass/trees wrong
