Compatible Carnivores?
Are there Carnivores that can be housed with different species of carnivore without going ballistic?

Or smaller Carnivores and larger herbivores that can coexist?

Most Carnivores have a comfortable population that is much higher than their comfortable social group. I was wondering how to take advantage of it.

T-rex + Dilo works great.
Teratus Jun 14, 2018 @ 11:44am
Combinations i've tried.

Ceratosaurus and Raptors.. Ceratosaurus killed the Raptors
Ceratosaurus and Dilo's.. Ceratosaurus killed the Dilos
Ceratosaurus and Deinonychus.. Ceratosaurus Killed the Deinonychus
T-Rex and Ceratosaurus.. Rex killed the Ceratosaurus
Metriacanthosaurus and Ceratosaurus.. Metriacanthosaurus killed the Ceratosaurus
Metriacanthosaurus and Raptor.. Metriacanthosaurus killed the Raptor
Metriacanthosaurus and Dilo.. Metriacanthosaurus killed the Dilo
Raptors and Dilos.. Raptors kill the Dilos 90% of the time.. the other 10% Dilos kill the Raptors

Those are all the carnivore species I currently have unlocked.. and every single time i've attempted to keep 2 different species together they slaughter one another.

Actually, T-Rex or Ceratosaurus doesn't like Velociraptors as well. But Velociraptors are escaping lol. They don't choose to fight so they stay alive.
Just give them enough time and they do fight. Even t-rex and dilo somewhen sooner or later will engage in a fight.
And it's for sure not a good idea having dinosaurs that are constantly in "panic" status and therefor ignoring their needs to drink and eat.
At least between cerato, trex, dilo, raptor, deinony there is no 100% working combination. All of them either attack each other on sight or one chases the other (=panic mode)

Same if you combine them with larger herbivoes. They don't attack them, but the herbs are in panic mode most of the time

Yea, Ceratos and Raptors work, but the Raptors do get bullied by the Ceratos and might forget to eat or drink if it happens too often. Raptors or Dilos and some of the more defensive/able to fight herbivores can coexist too, like Triceratops.

I wonder if it has something to do with enclosure space or available food (some other factor). Mine never fought, the Ceratos just roar at the Raptors and they panic off.

If you have your raptors with large carnivores but with just one feeder the larger ones will scare out the raptors when they get close to it so they can't eat and so they become hungry and start to kill each other to eat so try putting some other feeders so they can eat too.

ok so just finished testing all combinations for pred with pred pens and pred with herd pens. Ornithomimidaes, pachycephalosauridaes and hadrosauridaes are incompatible with any pred, all other herds are compatible with the small preds. mid size preds and large preds are incompatible with everything why they have an ideal population larger than there social group is a mystery. The only reason i can think of is for the people that like to feed their preds with herds.
T-REX-KNIGHT Jun 16, 2018 @ 12:54am
Actually eventually your large carnivores would scare the smaller ones away from the food and water and eventually it would starve them to death it may look like they get along but look at their behavior it will say "panic"

Max 6 raptors. Check their social status.

I have put 3 Ceratosaurus in the same enclosure.
The first one was only 61%, second was 76% and last 100%+genome altered.
Other than life spans I haven't seen any difference.
All three share their enclosure with each other just fine, I have two goat pens and I reset is constantly. Even to the point of there being at least 20 goats wandering around their pen.

But what about T-Rex and Deino? Asking for a friend.

I've been doing a lot of expierimenting. What I've found is that you can house any large carnivor with any small carnivor. But no large carnivors with large carnivors, and no small carnivors with small carnivors.

2 metriacanthosaurus and 4 deinonychus get along perfectly. The metria's don't mind the deino's and the deino's don't panick when they see a metria.

I've mixed and matched and can confidently say that Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, Majungasaurus, Carnotaurus and Giganotosaurus can each live with either Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus and Deinonychus without incident - at least any that results in death for the smaller carnivore (when I don't tranqulize the smaller dinos because then they become food). There has been a bit of bullying where the Metriacanthosaurus kept following a Dilophosaurus around and wouldn't let it eat despite being more feeders than dinos in the enclosure. The same thing with both a Carnotaurus and Giganotosaurus with raptors. Most likely due to the placement of the feeders and the distance between them. I found this was especially the case for my Carnotaurus because she had a perfect view of every feeder and sort of stood in the middle of them and would run at any velociraptor that tried to eat. Their enclosure wasn't small by any account, but once I hid a feeder among some trees, things settled down.
