Power
How do you connect the power

Left hand side, click the power button. You need sub stations near buildings that required power, they will show a yellow sphere of influence. You then need power pylons to connect the stations to the power plants.

Anyone else having issues getting buildings to draw power? I built my ACU and Ranger Station right across from each other and a sub station between them. They are both under the yellow SOI but neither are drawing power.

Do I have to connect pylons to each building?

You don't have to connect the pylons to the building but to the sub station you placed inbetween them. Basically the sub stations need to be connected to your power plant(s) by pylons so they work.

Well they dont, i have 2 of them connected to the main power line and freaking hotel still requires power even when its covered by the yellow area of the sub station. Seriously WTF?

Might not have enough power total. Each station has a power output.

Check your spare power.

Professor_Goat,

Did that, I have three small power stations with a stability upgrade and power upgrade. Each station produces 18 power and I am using 39 after the ACU & Ranger station.

I even destroyed both of the Hammond Labs (second island), rebuilt it to service both paddocks and added two more viewing stations.

Still have excess power.

Any suggestions?

Make sure the ACU/Ranger stations are connected to the main path. Make sure the substation which is giving them power is connected to all the other power stations and make sure all of those stations are also connected to each other. Its possible an isolated station isnt able to draw on the excess power on the other facilities and runs out of power itself by trying to power everything it is connected to.

ROLF,

You are dead on!

I popped up the overhead map and noticed a long line for power

a storm had damaged a pylon that I hadn't fixed yet

going to have to make redundant connections for this map!
