I'm currently on the 3rd island and have managed to get 5 stars on the first 2 islands although they dropped back down to 4+ shortly after.
Maintaining 5 star parks is something i've not yet managed and there are some annoying problems that continue to pop up and sometimes screw up your missions.
Do this.. breed that.. stress it out.. calm it down.. great now make sure it survives for the next 5 mins.. OPSIE!! someone sabotaged all your gates and now your T-Rex is in the same pen lol oh well guess you gotta start over.. (Son of a !!!) lol
General park management I find to be very easy though.. often slow starting.. building up your early park and populating it can take some time as can maxing out DNA genomes and researching everything.. but once I've passed that early point my parks start printing money faster than I can spend it..
All 3 of my islands have over 100 million in bank just sitting there lol
Easy to make money in this game.
If you want your challenge to come from maintaining finances and the park then this definitely isn't your game.
I suppose the real challenge is to manage all the different types of dinos; which ones can be together in a pen and which don't. Dealing with escaped dinos before they eat too many guests. Matching dinos which share preferences for similar enviroments is also a thing you want to do due to limited map size.
I wouldn't call this game hardcore in the least, so if you are more into those kinds of experiences then leave this game be.
I could deal with the focus on the dinos, as long as the gameplay is interesting & challenging.
In the sense that I would like to feel, kind of, the pressure on the staff shown in the movies, for example. Like 1 little mistake, something unexpected, and then all hell can break loose pretty fast.
Similarly to a game like Frostpunk, for example.
Decisions matter & have a "real" impact on the simulation.
I'm just a bit worried to get bored (too fast) even with the dinos, if the gameplay loop feel too robotic & not organic enough in their approaches.
No worries man.
I love Frostpunk and I found that game to be much harder than this one mate. I know what you mean, I like those kind of challeges as well. This is not that kind of game, it's very forgiving.
But the game has difficult moments and especially in his missions.
But , JWE na never was to be Hard, the developers not stop to say it.
The Second Island: Isla Muerta is a bit harder you don't have ALOT of room but you do have some. There are Tropical Storms that can damage or destory buildings and fences also they can cause your dinos to enrage and break out of their pens.
The Third Island: This is where it gets tricky you start off with 0 money to your name and have to sell prebuilt structures just to get a dino pen to make money back. There are no Storms I have seen so thats a plus but its starting literally with nothing and building it up.
The Fourth Island: Dear god the pain. This island is super small you have to get 3 stars to move to the next island with what ammounts to around 3 small pens. It took me like 3 times restarting to figure out what to do.
The Fifth Island: Isla Sorna Site B. This one is by far super Fun its not difficult per say but you have so much room you can do whatever you want By this time you can unlock alot of the super tier dinos INCLUDING the Indom. You still have stuff you have to do to unlock and it does take money so its not like Nublar and isn't a true sandbox but my god was this island fun.
Also micromanaging the contracts to complete them all and get everything is a bit of a pain but that is what makes it fun
Yes, thank you. I think I have a clearer picture of the gameplay.
I'm a bit torned as I love the universe, and on the other hand, this feels like it can potentially become a wallpaper tomorrow.
Too bad that it is not moddable, I'm pretty sure gamers would be able to tweak this game in the direction that I desire (and that a lot of people would desire too, I guess).
Imagine, a mix between this & Frostpunk ? Now, we talking ♥♥♥♥ ! :)
Thanks for the walkthrough !
Yeah man, that would be absolutely awesome.
