And, in some cases, the Division Missions that you get, are beyond your reach until you've advanced further on your island, such as something specific that you can't get until your island is 2 Star Rating when you're still 1 Star. It's very annoying. So it's a good practice to always save after you've completed a Division Mission, then when a Mission is given you to replace that, if you do not like it, simply reload and wait for the Mission to come up again until it's a different Mission that you can do.
Just cancel the contract and request a more reasonable one.
On your problem: The answer isn't in research centers, it is in the genetic code unlocks for the huayang. You need to add life genes to every sequence you can but you have only unlocked a couple sequences. Just keep digging up huayang fossils up to about 90% to unlock all the gene sequences. Then you can change life enough for the contract.
That's the great part in campaign: you can jump back and forth between all unlocked islands whenever you want or need to (to transfer money e.g.) without problems.
First, thank you. I did not know that is how you unlock more genome slots. However, I'm assuming if I haven't researched the required genes it would simple be that NULL gene that has no affect. I haven't tested this yet, but can all genes be applied to all genome slot? So like i said in my OP I don't have the genes that add enough to lifespan. However I do have genes that may bump lifespan by a few years. So I'm just wondering if you can apply this gene down the genome line? Those few years might turn into the couple decades I need to complete the contract.
I think there were a few things mixed up in here...
First one being, once you got 100% of the dino's DNA you can't unlock more gene slots, no matter what you do. Unless you installed mods that add all 18 slots to all dinos you are stuck with 4-5? I think slots for lower rated dinos and up to 18 for the highest rated ones. So if you already completed the Huayango genome you're stuck with the number of slots that it has once you reached 100%.
Second one is you can't put all modifications into all slots. There are different types of modifications some attack, some resilience and others (esp. when you got the Wu dlc.) and while some modifications can go into several categories not all do. In short: you can't put the same gene into every gene slot.
What you do get once you move to the next islands is better versions of the basic modifications and even some new ones, though the one with the shark icon is usually the best when it comes to lifespan. So if you want your dinos to live longer choose that where you can, followed by the turtle one and reaction speed I think. And yes, if you don't have any genes researched that apply to a certain category it's stuck with the NULL one.
