Spinosaurus Size
Spinosaurus is supposed to be the largest carnivorous dinosaur. It's stats in the game are that its fifteen meters long and six point three eight meters tall, but those are the stats of the Spino in JP3, which was apparently only a juvenile. The real Spino was supposed to be anywhere from fifty to sixty feet long, and someone even discovered a specimen that was estimated at seventy two feet long. Will we eventually see a Spino this size?

I mean, the Spinosaurus in JP3 was part of the "amalgam testing" and most likely had an accelerated growth rate. Eventho it was only two years old, it would be likely that it wouldn't grow much more due to different factors. If it were bigger, it would look quite ridiculous as well seeing what size the fences are.

Was a devs discussion (in a update) about it long ago they updated his size to a little more bigger, seems not enough.
The giga is big carnivor as well.

Probably not in this game any more. Can't tell about mods, tho.
My guess is that in JWE 2, it is going to be very similar to the Spino in JWE 1.

But it is useless to complain about dinos in the JW franchise not being accurate, anyway.
The real Spinosaurus looked very different. Shorter legs, swimming tail, more like a crocodile. Most likely lived like one, too.
The size being incorrect is the slightest problem.

I know, right? The Giga is bigger and it even weighs less.

The bit about the legs and swimming tail has been suspect for quite a while from what I've heard. All I was hoping for is that the game would be consistent with the JP lore. Since the Spino in JP3 was an adolescent, then it stands to reason that the fullgrown adult would be around sixty or seventy feet long.

Perhaps juvenile is too strong a word, but apparently it was about three years old in JP3 thanks to someone doing an archive trace.

They said: The Spinosaurus was likely born sometime in 1998. Around one-hundred days after Masrani bought InGen is when they made it, since that was 1998, it was most likely made in 1998 or 1999, giving it two or three years to grow. Rexie was around five years in Jurassic Park, and she was full grown.

Anyway, the Spinosaurus should probably be at least as big as the Giga, if not larger. It's not only smaller, but it weighs two tons more. That just doesn't add up.

The Spino in JP3 could've been accelerated in growth though.

also since rexy is 5 years old and is fully grown, she herself also had an accelerated growth rate, and spino is about 1-2 meters bigger than rexy and is only 3, the spino cannot be a juvie. stop your mid level iceberg theories

also the spino was part of the amalgam testing and thus adds to the fire that the spino in jp3 is not a juvie

The Spino in JP3 was at the time of the movie 2 years old, according to data from the DPG website. Rexy at the current moment is... Dunno. About 30 years old now lol

Oh so is just Jurassic World Reboot bullsht new lore I see.

On topic of the spinosaurus's size. Isn't it already as big as presented in the movie? which was indeed an adult btw. Do want to see a kaiju rampaging through the park firing atomic breath or something?

Now I'm not an avid researcher on paleontology as I used to be. But last time I've checked, and granted It was quite some time back in 2016 I recall. I remember that the colossal super size of both the spinosaur and giga as actually just overreactive speculation. The actual found specimens of spino were only supposedly a little bigger if not the same length as the T-rex Sue, and the giga specimens were also around the same size as the biggest T-rex specimens. I also remember reading papers and articles regarding the discovery of T-Rex as the heaviest theropod so far, which in a way means that T-rex is technically still the biggest theropod according to science.

Again, I am unaware of recent discoveries. So maybe someone has finally found a 30 meter spino/giga specimen that destroys anything on sight and dethrones T-rex for good.
T-REX-KNIGHT Aug 7, 2021 @ 12:43pm
The T-rex is the reigning heaviest theropod thanks to Scotty which is confirm bigger than sue. Mapusaurus Is considered second place on Weight though I forgot how heavy,

thanks for the correction in age for spino, and rexy is at least 25 years old in the current lore. i was referring to how rexy was a full adult at the age of 5 in 1993
