just the stars the victory dino will get can boost some money income.
i assume in JWE 2 this thing will be real for the guests, for better Park management for General, Advanture, Nature and Luxury <- kind of guests interest.
still, cool idea m8.
Possible? Yes.
Practical? No. The ratings boost the winning dino gets is smaller than the ratings the now dead dino gave. You are probably better off with no fights to the death. Fights where one runs away do nothing to improve rating, and in fact lowers the islands dinosaur rating because of the welfare penalty.
Do the same thing with the rex when its about to die, helping the new one to live with a ranger team, and you can theoretically milk combat bonuses as far as you have the patience to.
I know it's a game, but that just sounds like a horrible thing to do... Then again I dislike animal cruelty and also don't like to see it in games. It always made me feel "bad" when I had to do it for a contract in the main game.
Animals hunting and killing eachother on the other hand is something natural and is fine by me, though. Forcing two animals to fight for "entertainment" or "ratings", well that's just wrong.
Lambert: "I want you to let dinosaur A fight and kill dinosaur B."
Me: "You want me to let two expensive dinosaurs fight and kill eachother? Hmm... Let me think... I have a better idea; you're fired."
