you can do, but guests not really care about it.
just the stars the victory dino will get can boost some money income.

i assume in JWE 2 this thing will be real for the guests, for better Park management for General, Advanture, Nature and Luxury <- kind of guests interest.

still, cool idea m8.

There is a Combat Infamy rating, raised by killing other dinosaurs. This raises the winners overall rating, making it more popular, raising dinosaur rating. However, guests don't like injured and dead dinosaurs, giving a welfare penalty to the islands dinosaur rating. The bonus from combat affinity lasts as long as that dino lives, and the welfare penalty will go away eventually, so with combat (as long as one of the fighting dinosaurs actually dies in combat), you should get a small boost to dinosaur rating.

Possible? Yes.
Practical? No. The ratings boost the winning dino gets is smaller than the ratings the now dead dino gave. You are probably better off with no fights to the death. Fights where one runs away do nothing to improve rating, and in fact lowers the islands dinosaur rating because of the welfare penalty.

With a bit of micro managing, you can make it pay off, at least a little bit. Get an apex predator, and keep track of your other critters lifespans. When they're coming up on their time to die anyways, toss those geriatric dino's to you rex or indo or spino or whatever. They were going to die anyways, and at least this way you can salvage 50% of their dino rating.

Do the same thing with the rex when its about to die, helping the new one to live with a ranger team, and you can theoretically milk combat bonuses as far as you have the patience to.

I know it's a game, but that just sounds like a horrible thing to do... Then again I dislike animal cruelty and also don't like to see it in games. It always made me feel "bad" when I had to do it for a contract in the main game.

Animals hunting and killing eachother on the other hand is something natural and is fine by me, though. Forcing two animals to fight for "entertainment" or "ratings", well that's just wrong.

Lambert: "I want you to let dinosaur A fight and kill dinosaur B."
Me: "You want me to let two expensive dinosaurs fight and kill eachother? Hmm... Let me think... I have a better idea; you're fired."
