How the saving system works?

So i know i have my save for the main campaign but when i go for te vintage jurassic park I can do a new one or overwrite the "main" one. If I overwrite the main one i loss everything?

They’re separate modes so you’ve got campaign, JP , sandbox , challenge etc.. and they don’t overwrite each other unless you choose so but you can only save in the category on which mode you’re playing. Hopefully this made sense

Use manual saves, that will save the game better from carry on "auto save" only.

im still confused, the vintage jp is a campaign too, i dont want to lose my main progress for a dlc but i cant use the other dlcs in the main campaign so i assume i need to do them first to unlock the dinos and structures so. if I do any dlc campaign and save it in a separate new slot my main saved campaign recognise that dlc save and i can use the dlc dinos and structures in my previous saved file? lol

It is a little odd how its set up...

The saves are all under different sections in the load game screen. So you have sections for

Campaign saves
RTJP saves
Clairs saves
Challenge mode saves
Sandbox saves

If you start any of the DLC/sandbox/challenge modes its a new save under its own load game screen section, and wont affect your main save. Once you complete goals, then the new things show up in your main save as well.

Dr Wu is built into the main campaign, like the dino/skins dlc :)

so if i start rtjp and finish it i will have all the thing unlocked in my already main campaign right? thanks

As long as you are manually saving in each part of the game that you're playing then yes.

you select if make a new save or override a save that already exist, it's easy you will see it in the game mate :)

also you can write your own save title name to any game save, also fun ;P
