Inardesco once posted a topic about this mod.
The original video is down for sure, but here is another reddit with a different video:

Unfortunately I still couldn't find any guide of how to do so.
map size is not where the joy of playing this game is.
Thanks Just Chill
Have you played JPOG also only with the original INI files and without texture mods?
If so, I appreciate that.
I started like that, but actually I am way more happy with a ridiculous dinosaur limit being able to produce over 500 dinos on Site B.
Surely I admit, that my settings allow a park that big it makes the game unstable also out of my own experience.
But Site B ran like a charm. :D
And you still haven't unlocked your previous park screenshots yet. :(
If the game is that much fun for you, why don't you share your nice park screenshots?
It's hard to reason with the unreasonable, am I right? lol
That guy is very clearly set in stone menally and no matter the amount of evidence you show to him he's not going to listen. Hence why I stopped while I was ahead. You can't convince the stubborn after all.
So I missed this news post but someone on that reddit thread said this:
Good to know Frontier is lying and probably cause their Universal Overlords are forcing their hand. Why am I not surprised seeing as Universal is a movie studio and anyone with half a brain and who knows how stingy and forceful movie studios are will know this is to be expected. Any MPAA studio is known to act like this. Wanting total control over every single facet of a IP. No matter how is harmed or scammed in the process. *sighs*
Especially as there are of course videos out there which show that it is possible.
Surely, it may make the game more unstable (similar as modding JPOG INIs), but with a slight enlargement, I doubt the consequences will be that harsh.
I think the easy fix to that would be a custom map editor much like what Cities Skylines offered.
this way players could create/share there own maps.
While this is all valid points, you also have to take into account that the first step to possibly changing that is to make your voice heard. As a Executive Vice President who had stepped once said.
"Don't like it, don't buy it"
So if people don't like the lack of modding and forceful practices against it, they will speak up, vote with their wallets and encourage people who are about to buy the base game to not buy it if they enjoy Mods in their games.
I've got plenty of games that I mod to death and those that I leave unmodded. And oftentimes....mods ruin the game for me more than the vanilla game, cuz I need to have moar of them and moar, until I break the game, looking at you Fallout 4...
You can want mods in your games and still enjoy the vanilla experience....
